Who we are and what we do!

The Bakery is a contemporary 70 seater bar and restaurant set in a former bakery offering fixed price modern British and European menus. We pride ourselves in using the best fresh local produce, which is selected daily. This is brought out in our menus which change regularly, based upon the fresh produce available.

As well as the main restaurant menu, priced at £22.50 for three courses, there is a bar menu which provides an extensive selection of brasserie style bar meals and snacks making it an ideal venue for a light lunch or dinner, or even just to call in for coffee or drinks. Sunday lunch is a popular family affair with a more traditional menu at £17.50 for three courses, with prices for children.

A varied and carefully chosen wine list compliments any meal choice with selections from all over the world while staying true to the more traditional wine producing regions.

Following the successful redesign and makeover of the bar and restaurant last year, the "look" and ambience is now very much relaxed, stylish and unpretentious.

With a range of menu packages on offer, The Bakery, can also provide an ideal and unique venue to hold any party celebrations, be it a Wedding, Birthday or Anniversary Party. The restaurant can accommodate up to 90 people seated or 125 for a buffet. Prices start from as little as £10.95 for a finger buffet. We are also licensed for live entertainment.
